Mark Nokes

Bio
Mark Nokes Mark Nokes was born in Okalahoma City, Oklahoma. He started playing guitar at the age of 16 and was self instructed until he began his college education in music at the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance.  Mark began playing professionally in 1999 with various Blues, Rock, and Country artists in the local Oklahoma City area. He has played as a freelance musician and studio recording artist. He played with the University of Central Oklahoma’s Guitar Ensemble, the University of  Central Oklahoma Jazz Band, and has performed in the Guitar’s Galore Festival in Austin, Texas.  Mark began teaching private lessons for the Community Music School in Edmond, Oklahoma as well as had his own private practice for several years prior to moving to Arizona. Since moving to Arizona in 2006 Mark has begun to establish himself in the local musical scene. Mark’s genres of forte include jazz and classical guitar but he is seasoned in Blues, Rock, and Country.
